BlueBay Hotels and World2Meet sign a strategic alliance for the management of a portfolio of more than 12,000 beds in Spain, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic

The agreement is formalized through O7 Hotels, World2Meet’s
management firm. The start of this alliance will begin on January 1st, 2024, for a 15-year period.

The chain closed the 2016 financial year showing an increase of 56% since 2011 and now has 43 hotels in 22 destinations and 22,711 beds under its management. Remodelling the Hotel Miguel Angel by BlueBay in Madrid is among the projects the company has planned for 2017. BlueBay Hotels plans to increase the chain’s number of hotels by 50% and double the number of beds under its management to more than 50,000 by 2020. BlueBay Hotels has launched the InnoBBacción concept to make the company an innovation model to follow in the hotel sector.

BlueBay Hotels presents the BlueBay Travel Awards 2017

President of the Arab Tourism Organization, his Excellence, Sheikh Bandar Bin Fahd Al-Fehaid received the award for the “Best Tourism Model of Social Integration”. The award for “Outstanding Tourism Personality for America 2016” was awarded to Francisco Javier García, Tourism Minister of the Dominican Republic. Companies who received awards for their work in other categories included Wamos Air, Tui Group, Hosteltur, Jet2Holidays, Hotelbeds, Westjet, Repotur, Anex Tours and Expedia. Over the course of the evening, BlueBay Hotels also presented different awards to several companies for their continued support shown to the group.

BlueBay Hotels to spend €20M on remodelling two of its hotels in Mallorca

The complete renovation work on the Bellevue Club complex and the Bellevue Lagomonte hotel, both three-star establishments, has started this November and is scheduled to be finished in March 2017 The refurbishments projects will make alterations to both the interior and exterior and means both premises will be closed during the process The company currently has 42 hotels in 20 destinations in Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, the Middle East and North Africa with a total of 23,000 beds. Twenty of the establishments are in Spain, with four of the hotels located in Mallorca
