This magnificent beach is found on the Balearic island of Mallorca, only six kilometres from the town of Santany\u00ed. To reach this enclave, you need to make your way down a short path of just under half a kilometre, after parking your car besides the traditional picturesque houses of Sa Comuna. While Playa de las Catedrales is the beach\u2019s \u201ccommercial\u201d name, its official name is Playa de Aguas Santas, which can be found in the Galician province of Lugo. The name by which it is commonly known \u2013 translated as \u201cBeach of the Cathedrals\u201d \u2013 derives from the set of cliffs lining the beach, some of which are almost 50 metres tall.<\/p>\n
The low tide cliff-to-cliff walks are simply spectacular, leaving you feeling like you\u2019re on another planet. If you like the looks of this beach and need more specific information about how to get there, you will find it in the small village of A Devasa \u2013 not far from Ribadeo \u2013 very close to the border between Galicia and Asturias, which is naturally marked out by the passing of the River Eo.<\/p>\n
