Here, you can be part of an international environment in a paradise for diving enthusiasts. Also, it is a place where tourism development coexists with the village atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>In the same coastline that bathes the picturesque district known as El Batey, right in the center of Sos\u00faa, you will find Playa Alicia, or <em>Water Front<\/em>. It is the new beach, formed by the sea to the astonishment of residents and tourists.<\/p>\n<p>Years ago, as is shown in the photos, this whole area was a high cliff where the waters were over five meters deep. Since 2003, the sands washed away by the current of the Atlantic Ocean began to gradually form the beach as it is known now, in a process that took several years and that at first, drew no attention.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I remember going to that place in 1970 and noticing that these waters were some five meters deep,&#8221; says Juan Perdomo, tourism businessman.<\/p>\n<p>It is a quiet beach with rocks and cliffs that surround it, and nothing but golden sand, a handful of sun and sea in its various shades of blue, so typical for the Caribbean waters. To the left, there is a coral cliff where you can snorkel in the clear water to see some small tropical fish.
