Well, they are all located in the second-largest country in the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic, which is well known for its abundance of nature, welcoming people and a musical rhythm that invades its streets, bars, clubs, and every corner of society.<\/h2>\n
Thanks to the good vibes and weather, the Dominican Republic offers so many things to see and do, so much so, that you won\u2019t know where to begin.<\/p>\n

Whale watching:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
If you travel between January and March, whale watching is a must. This is when the whales migrate to the waters of Saman\u00e1 Bay, which you can enjoy by either taking the boat tour or from the observatory at Punta Balandra. Out of season, the best thing is to book a day trip with one of the private companies, as they will take you to the exact location where you can still see them.<\/p>\n
Scuba diving and snorkelling:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
The Dominican Republic is home to thousands of kilometres of coastline, resulting in a wealth of life both under the sea and on land. If you know how to dive, you can delve into the underwater caves, sunken galleons, and coral reef to feast your eyes on thousands of colourful species of fish. An underwater world protected by the authorities with spectacular beauty. The waters are calmer between June and September and the average temperature is usually between 24 and 29 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for scuba diving.<\/p>\n
Enjoy the traditional cuisine:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
One of the things we all enjoy when travelling is eating. And there are a range of dishes that can only be found in the Dominican Republic. One of them is mang\u00fa<\/em>, which is made by mashing boiled green plantains and then served with Dominican sausage salami, scrambled eggs, onion and white cheese. A very tasty dish to enjoy at breakfast or dinner.<\/p>\n
Among the liquors, we have to give special mention to one of the most typical. Mamajuana <\/em>was originally made from hot water, herbs and tree bark, but after the arrival of Christopher Columbus red wine and distilled rum were also added.<\/p>\n
Visit the national aquarium:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
A must for anyone visiting the Dominican Republic, with more than 85 tanks and 6 ponds, it is home to some 2900 fresh and saltwater species, including cat sharks, enormous manta rays, turtles and sharks.<\/p>\n
Even if you have two left feet, you are compelled to try and practice a few moves. Remember, you are in the land of music. Bachata and merengue are found on every corner, street and space, and the best thing is that you don\u2019t need a dance partner as there are always plenty of locals more than happy to join in.
